Google has expanded their reach Mars using high-resolution photographs from NASA satellites orbiting the planet.
Reporting from Dailymail, Wednesday (11/14/2012), the Internet giant has been showing pictures of Mars
that can be downloaded free of charge as part of the Google Earth application, but to date there is generally only a low-resolution photos.
Now, utilizing photos shots contect Camera on Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter NASA, Google successfully update a photo of the Red Planet surface with a resolution of approximately 20 feet per pixel.
Google Earth also has a display resolution of the Earth by approximately 50 feet per pixel. However, some cities and locations other options can be displayed in high definition 12-inch photos per pixel.
Google Mars can be accessed easily via the Google Earth application by clicking on a small icon at the top of the Saturn-shaped main window and selecting Mars from the list of options.
"This action should be performed on planetary data. Google Earth is still not reliable enough for scientific purposes, but to my knowledge, this is the best tool to be able to see Mars the data quickly," said planetary scientist who became a part of the team Curiosity ChemCam , Ryan Anderson.
