Research In Motion (RIM) projected there will be 100 thousand applications at the launch of the BlackBerry 10 (BB10), although the two rivals Apple and Google, has more than 700 thousand applications at this time. "In my view, it is shortsighted to say 'you've got 600 thousand, 400 thousand, and you've only got 100

"Look at how much is actually available for download. Currently, BlackBerry App World is still the most profitable portal for application developers because it has a number of high-paid application downloads," he continued.

Heins says social networks like LinkedIn, Foursquare, Twitter, and Facebook, will help enliven applications are launched for BB10. Unfortunately, he refused to say a big player other applications that will be joining RIM in the BB10 launch day on Jan. 30.
