Some analysts say the gaming industry, a fierce battle for sales between one game console, the console games, making the company should be able to launch a pricing strategy to win the competition.

Speaking on GameIndustry, Lewis Ward of IDC Research says there is no PlayStation 3 price cut this year. "Sony has lowered the price of the PlayStation 3 by 50 in the third quarter of last year. So, I do not think that there is another price cut in the holiday season this year," said Lewis.

Lewis said, Sony does not have a bad thing related to sales of console games this holiday season. However, do not rule out the possibility of a sudden when they could have lowered the price of its flagship console games.

Meanwhile, analyst PJ McNealy of DWR Research said the drop console prices would not be good for the company. "The fundamental question for Sony now is how many additional units of PlayStation 3 that they can sell at this time, in cycles when they were cutting the price at this time," said McNealy.

He further said, Sony is trying to minimize the loss, after posting poor financial results in the past year. "I think the solution for them (Sony), is focused on models of the PlayStation Slim bundle," he concluded.
