A recent survey conducted by BizRate Insight, revealed that Pinterest gives more motivation for shopping online than Facebook.
Quoted from Mashable, Monday (22/10/2012), iSight BizRate survey was carried out on 7431 shoppers
online. From the survey, it was revealed that 70 percent of the 10 million users use social networking Pinterest style "pinboard" to inspire shopping and follow the trend.
Meanwhile, only 17 percent of Facebook users say they rely on the social networking giant to make a purchase. However, Facebook still dominates the range and delivery of traffic to third party websites.
Besides Pinterest and Facebook, BizRate Insight also revealed that more engagement is established between the user with the brand on a photo sharing website.
