Events Indonesia Game Show (IGS) 2012 will be held on 12 to 14 October 2012. This event is targeted to reach up to 20 thousand visitors.

"We are targeting 20,000 visitors over three days (12 to 14 October 2012)," Wendy said Chandra, Chief Executive Officer of Prosperity Single Megindo in Jakarta (09/10/2012).


Visitors from all walks of life are welcome present and come to see the various exhibitions of video games for free. In addition, the committee also held other events such as seminars, talk shows, cosplay competition
and tournaments or e-sport competitions several popular game titles.


The winners of this competition will be deployed to the international arena, following the Grand Final; Kunshan China (for the WCG 2012), Paris (to ESWC 2012), Malaysia (for TGX 2012), with a total prize of hundreds of millions of dollars.

"The purpose of convening this event, we want no barometer related gaming industry in Indonesia. If the existing G-star Korea, Indonesia also has trenmark we wanted," he explained.

He said the event was once coined four years ago and is now held back for a second time. "This time we are working with and Rapture Gaming Mediatama Binakreasi Singapore. Many publishers to participate, we also want to develop a developer in Indonesia," he explained.

He further said, developers in Indonesia has been rapid, it is not possible potential developer can take part from Indonesia internationally. There are two developers who appear at the Tokyo Game Show, one of which Agate game developer studio from Bandung.

There are approximately 79 booths and 73 companies participating and supporting the largest game exhibition in Indonesia. IGS 2012 was held on 12 to 14 October 2012 at the Assembly Hall JCC Senayan, Jakarta.
