I was browsing through blogs and got hold of yours. I think this is a much sorted text and I would like to follow up on this. Using Google Maps is better compared to Apple Maps and even more comprehensive. I would state that Apple Maps application has been praised because of its good look but criticized because of its lack of local transit recommendations.
