Intel 22nm Processor Will Rambah Smartphone?

The use of the processor design System on Chip (SoC) is widely used smartphone dominated by Qualcomm, MediaTek Exynos or Samsung, seem to make the Intel also tempted by the existing niche. 

Through a statement issued on the sidelines of the International Electron Devices 2012, Intel

explains his interest penetrated the smartphone market by relying on processors that have implemented 22nm manufacturing process that is currently being developed.

The processor is a third-generation Core processors for desktop and notebook computers, will be using SoC design dedicated for use on mobile devices that require low power consumption in operation such as a smartphone or tablet.

Even with Intel's new statement will be promoting his generation Core processors, Intel also plans in the future will be implemented in the generation Pentium and Celeron.

Later 22nm processors are given the designation Tri-gate, will have a performance of 20 to 65% higher when compared to the processor is still using 32nm fabrication process as it is today.

As quoted from Techpowerup, Wednesday (12/12/2012), using the processor is 22nm SoC designs, Intel will be filling a niche market in the mid-level and high-end to use ARM-based SoC processors.

Unfortunately in peryataannya, Intel did not elaborate as to what specifications will be carried by the 22nm processors are being developed.
