Patents Dispute Jam, Apple Choose Pay License
Apple has agreed to pay a license fee to the Swiss Federal Railway (SBB) related to a patent dispute between the two. In this case, Apple has been accused of copying the design clock for iOS applications 6.
Quoted from TechRadar, Sunday (14/10/2012), which is used as a pointing device lawsuit material is owned
by SBB and hanging at the train station in all of Switzerland.
When Apple launched the app at the identical clock at the train stations, SBB said they were delighted because the design is recognized. But they also said that Apple did not ask for permission first.
"We are proud of this iconic clock design used by successful companies globally," said Reto Kormann of SBB told The Associated Press in September.
"We approached Apple and say that copyright clock is in our hands," he said at the time.
Apparently, the company services the Swiss rail network throwing the case to a lawyer because some time ago SBB confirm Apple's willingness to pay licensing hours.
