Marissa Mayer, Yahoo's new CEO, continues to take strategic steps. Flawless boss managed to hijack one of the high officials of Google, Henrique de Castro.
Mayer himself is a former high-ranking Google until his appointment as Yahoo CEO last July. No wonder if
he was good friends with Castro and successfully persuaded him to move to Yahoo.
At Yahoo, Castro will hold a prominent position as Chief Operating Officer. WTC reported by Reuters and quoted on Tuesday (10/16/2102), he will officially join Yahoo on 22 January.
Castro will lead the business development, marketing and operations globally Yahoo. Mayer also welcomed the arrival of Castro considering the myriad experiences.
At Google, De Castro served as vice president of Google's Worldwide Partners Business Solutions Group.
Yahoo is currently still one of the most visited websites in the world. However, their income has declined amid tough competition from Google and Facebook.
Mayer, too, was trying to improve the fortunes of Yahoo. Not long ago, she gave birth to a baby boy. Even so, he remained active control of the company and just leave for a while.
