Aakash II will finally be officially sold by the government of India. Super cheap tablet aimed at the education will be sold at a price of $ 35 USD or about 330 thousand dollars. Currently, the tablet is deliberately provided free by the government of India for the students.

Despite having a low price, specifications of this tablet is quite good. In it, there are ARM Cortex A8 processor, 512MB RAM, front camera and internal memory capacity of 4GB. The screen is also a
capacitive touch screen and supports multitouch.

Datawind party which is the manufacturer of the tablet is revealed that prior to launch, there's been a lot of demand for second generation Aakash tablet. They also claim to have produced more than 5.5 million units of the tablet. The number is still small, because they target production rate of 220 million units.

There was no explanation about the availability of this tablet to market overseas. With low prices and specifications are quite good, it is not surprising if the tablet will also be in demand in developing countries, including Indonesia.
